This CD got a Blues Award! This was Slim´s first live-CD for Wolf Records, recorded in Austria! The Teardrops-sound is always present and the song “Gold Tailedbird” is a highlight! Also Nick Holt & John Primer had some songs on this CD, which are worth listening to!

There, they met and jammed with Magic Sam, from whom Slim took the first part of his name.

  8. Faekazahn says:
It is a magic tone, never quite duplicated by contemporaries. Slim though, is a bit of a stretch. From the primal, growling vocals to his large stature - both with and without his guitar, “slim” is a misnomer. On Midnight Blues, his 7th disc on the Blind Pig label, several Chicago Blues luminaries offer up their services as guest Teardrops.
